This is an exciting release. Not only did we add a bunch of quality of life improvements, we also added Flaretech keyboard support! This means Wooting one and Wooting two Flaretech keyboards can enjoy most of the new features with few limitations due to the hardware/technology. [The update to v4 is one-way, you won’t be able to return to v3!]

I also want to highlight that we stepped up our translation game and now use a Crowdin project for Wootility, so that anyone can easily help out translating their language. Want to contribute? This is a guide.

Flaretech Support

• Flaretech keyboard support, i.e. Wooting one & Wooting two

  • DKS has been moved into Advanced Keys, giving you access to Mod Tap and Toggle Keys (with more options coming in the future).
  • We’ve increased the limit of Advanced Keys from 20 to 60 (20 per analog profile)
  • Flaretech boards now have access to Rapid Trigger! Although it is limited to up to 0.2mm sensitivity on Downstroke and up to 0.6mm sensitivity on Upstroke
  • Note: Once you update your Flaretech keyboard to v4 you won’t be able to return to v3! Don’t even try it.
  • Note: Your onboard profiles will be reset when updating a Flaretech keyboard to Wootility v4!
  • Features that are available on Lekker but are not available with Flaretech are (due to memory limitations): Per-Key Actuation, Per-Key rapid trigger, RGB Layers, Per profile Remap, Advanced keys on the Digital Profile

  

New Features

• Per Layer RGB: Support for configuring RGB per layer which will be shown while the Fn layer is active (Lekker only). The RGB Effect will not take effect on the FN layers.

• Quick binding: Behaviour for Remap and Advanced key configuration. Just click on the keyboard key/binding box you want to bind and either click a key on your keyboard or single click on a key from the selection to instantly bind it.
