Wootility release notes

Introduction

Wootility v4.6 brings with it full UwU support, alongside several changes that aim to improve the user experience. If you notice any issues/have feedback, please post in the thread for this release, you’ll find this under the #wootility channel in our Discord.

This release is also the first one to include significant contributions from more (and new) members of the Wooting Team! Namely, David, Khang (both who worked on our Wootomation app) and Pola (our new UI designer). The new Colour tab design was done by Fynn who stepped in to help us out. Additionally, our current intern Qy helped make the visual representation of the UwU lightbar in the UI!

What’s New

RGB Overhaul

This update introduces a new Colour Picker, Recently Used Colour Swatches, and RGB Effect Layers, allowing much more creativity and customisability with your device.

Colour Picker & Swatches

The colour picker is a little bit rounder, the shade slider has been separated, and the swatches have been updated to now show recently used colours when you paint your keys.

RGB Effect Layers

Special Effects now support Layers!

Ever wanted to disrupt your Wave effect with Ripples? Well now you can! RGB Effect Layers behave slightly different for UwUs compared to our regular keyboards.

UwU devices will see the following UI. You have 3 layers to adjust, your Base Layer, Lightbar Layer, and the Per Key Layer.
